Men's 3rd XI Vs Leicester 4s

Firstly, what an amazing performance by our young lads, who for many it was their first game in the 3’s. You all played your socks off and it was a real show of the potential we can achieve in the coming season. I have no doubt you will all continue to make your mark in the team and move us forward to a successful season. 

The game itself, a loss at 2-5, but we played incredibly well, especially when you consider most of us haven’t played together before and were it not for the fact they had five of their second team playing I do believe we would have had a win under our belt preseason. 

But that being said, the hockey that was on show was excellent and we really did hold our own with two great goals by Adam and Tom C, that were both worked from solid build up. We have a bit of work to do in terms of positioning for some, but this can be reviewed and discussed when we regroup next Thurs at practise and continue through the season.
