Match Report

The first half 1-0 and to be honest it should have been more. Had it been more we would not have lost the match  2-1 so how did the migty 4’s snatch defeat from the jaws of victory?

After a season where backs to the walls defending and grabbing chances on breaks was the norm (like playing for Forest but without the results!)
South had most of the ball and many forays into the D. The final pass deserted us on many occasions, I couldn’t get the ball to Paul on several occasions. But the pressure paid off when a cross into the D was deflected by me and kindly placed into the back of the net by their defender. The umpires conferred (this was my 3rd goal this season but the other 2 were disallowed and so there was the chance of an unwanted hat-trick. It was given. Fraser was immense in goal and the half ended 1-0. The second half went in the same vein. We attacked we were in the D. We missed. One cross went through 3 of us all ready to pop it in. Tireless displays by Graham Graham and Greg at the back. Good support by Norman and Tom and great work by Jake all over the pitch. Dan added security and guile and William fought hard and made some great moves missing a chance to tampons on at the back and picking up some hard passes. Paul an ever present danger bereft of close in serovice bar the shot stopped by the foot in the second half and marshalled by Ken who played some great link play and we looked the better team. Then they scored 2.
