| Match Report | For twenty minutes, despite numerous changes in personnel, South played the same free flowing hockey as last week and took a deserved two nil lead with goals from Max and Mike, after fine build up play from the midfield trio of Andy, Norm and Tom. However, the second goal seemed to inspire the opposition, who altered their formation to remove the space that the midfield trio were operating in, and from then on South struggled to get a foothold on the game and it became one way traffic. A fine save from Simon kept it at two nil however eventually the pressure told and within a flash North Notts were 3-2 up. The second half continued in much the same vain as the first half ended and despite numerous saves from Simon and continued good defending from Craig, Tom C and Oscar the relentless pressure led to further goals for Notts. A final scoreline of 7-2, did despite South’s early dominance, reflect the one sided game it became. South have an immediate chance to bounce back tomorrow, this writer is currently sat a 5th birthday party, tomorrow can’t come soon enough! |
