| Match Report | South faced a tough home battle against Newark, falling to a 5-3 defeat in a high-energy contest. The match saw a series of end-to-end moments and intense play. South made a strong start with some promising attacking moves early on, but Newark capitalized on a few defensive mistakes and went 2 goals up early on. South regrouped, showing resilience and a fighting spirit. Mike was showing his part time ballet skills off with a nice little jump and twirl and knocking the ball down into the goal, Mike also went onto score another along side Max getting the 3rd. Roey, Bingo, Stan, Dylan and Andy held up the middle through constant attacks with Adam, Tom, Knappit and Craig in defence doing their best aswell. Simon made some good solid saves throughout the game. However, Newark managed to extend their lead to 5-3. Well done team for another good performance despite the loss, and a big thank you to Batty and Paul for umpiring. |
