WB were awarded the result 5-0 on a technicality, despite SNHC winning the game.
On a lovely rainy and blustery afternoon at Bingham south we’re facing a tough match against 3rd in the league but this team looked a very different team to the one our 2s had faced earlier in the season.
Both teams started well with a lot of good fluid hockey but it would be south that struck first.
Harry B’s bobbling shot from the top of the D saw the WB keeper step over the ball 1-0
But not 5 minutes had past and WB struck back 1-1
South then started to get to grips with the game as Brian fired a free hit into the D and a trade mark step over from myself left Grozzy to slot the ball neatly past the keeper 2-1 south.
Harry B again causing problems with a fantastic charge into the D got a shot off that came of an oppositions stick and popped straight up, when it landed in was down to myself to slot it away.

5 mins in and Gary P picked the pocket of the WD defence,drove down the left and delivered a delightful ball for Grozzy to slot away 4-1 south
The next goal came from a lovely team move that ended up with Grozzy squaring the ball to me with my back to goal, so with a first time reverse slap into the back of the net. 5-1 south
Then on the next attack lovely ball from Grozzy to myself………. Missed a sitter moving on.
WB had not give up but that just made bigger holes to exploit that ended up in a short corner.
The keeper told me it was going to Brian pushed it out to Gary P and in trademark style 6-1 south.
Then came the special moment in the game WB tried to clear their lines with an aerial but the angel Gabriel Gary rose and picked the ball and calmly strolled into the D and megged the keeper on the reverse like a Christmas miracle 7-1 south
Earning Gary a well earned MOM.
It was good to see a strong return from Leon P and a great performance from Harry B.
Also Great to see Fletcher and Tom having good strong performances against a good WB side.
